Cami recently broke her leg while she was in Greenville. Here is an update from her:
how are u??
So i was riding in Greenville and in an attempt of a 360 lookback i put my foot down and BOOM. My leg bent sideways and made a horrible noise. We though it was the ligaments but 2 days later i couldn’t handle the pain so I went to the doctor, got an x-rays and it was more than clear that the tibia was broken. After visiting a couple of specialists in Greenville i decided that no matter if I had to have surgery or not, I wanted to come back home. So I did and although i had a broken leg, it turned out to be one of the best flights I’ve ever had … I had to go in first class! haha :). Anyway, when I got back home I went to another doctor and after doing more exams we realized that the fracture was worse than what we thought. I Had surgery on monday and I had to stay a couple days in the hospital. I think it’s been by war the worse pain I’ve ever had.. both when i crash and right after surgery. But well.. this is all part of riding we like it or not I just cant wait to recover and be on my bike again!!!… By the way I left my bike in Greenville so maybe I’ll have to go and pick it up when I can haha
I want to thank all who helped me out in Greenville, specially Jason “Showtime”, Todd Meyn, Melanie Denton, Daniel Dhers, Vivi, Andy Buckworth, Alex Johann and Josh Perry! and of course my parents that are still helping me out with every single thing I need ! Love you all!!!
Can you say OUCH?!
Many BMX’ers have X-Rays that look similar to this.
Cami is one of the toughest gals out there. Can’t to see her back on her bike!
Heal up quick, Cami!
